Moment to moment we all have the chance to enter Paradise. We are living in Paradise at this very moment, but we cannot recall ourselves from the seeming reality of our dream.
I am in the garden of my yard; there are morning glories on the fence that the bees and the hummingbirds frequent. Sitting below the flowers in the shade to work on a bill, I hear a buzzing: I think it is a large insect, but looking up, I see a hummingbird only a foot away from my head.
It is the male, with a ruby iridescent throat:. He knows I am there, but he is unafraid. I am craning my neck to see him as he moves back out of vsion.
Later, I am eating lunch on the porch. I have the realization that the garden here is the Garden of Paradise and that I am in it. I see the shadows playing with the light on the wooden boards, and I feel the peace that must be integral to being a part of this place. I know I am here, and that most people never have this experience, this revelation.
Nothing more is needed, nothing is lacking, nothing unfulfilled or undone: everything will fall into place effortlessly. Being here now is all that is needed from me, and all I can ever achieve. In Paradise, which is eternal, there is no death, no end, no beginning, no birth: all that ever was, is, all that is, was always here and will always be.
